Justice That Liberates
Scripture: “The Spirit of the Lord… has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners.” — Luke 4:18 Jesus’ justice breaks chains—spiritual, emotional, and societal. His voice announces liberation, not condemnation. Lent invites us to recognise the places where we or others remain bound. His justice restores dignity and opens doors long shut. It empowers us to step into freedom with courage, to challenge narratives that diminish worth, and to stand alongside those still waiting for release. In His presence, captivity gives way to possibility, and hope rises where despair once settled. Prayer: Jesus, bring freedom where there is captivity. Use me to participate in your liberating work. Amen.
