Luminous beings are we (How do we know we are lights to the world?

Thanks for following along with this mini-series. It's been great to hear your feedback. In the final post on this subject we're going to look at three more signs that help us know we are being the light of the world.

We are experiencing lavish provision
For a long while my job was under threat.  Co-incidentally, the threat to my job started at exactly the same time my husband, Ian, was called into full time ministry.  He gave up his business, began to study, and the attack on our only remaining income came then.  And came again.  And came again.  Eventually, I left.

But our testimony is that God proved Himself faithful and met all our needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:19).  He has begun a good work in us and He will bring it to completion.

I don’t know how we paid the mortgage some months but we tithe and so God rebukes the devourer on our behalf (Malachi 3:11) and we experience lavish provision. My friends who don't know Jesus has seen him at work. I am luminous in that regard.

We are taking ground
You need to know that the presence of God is being manifested to a greater degree because you are fulfilling your calling.

Wherever you walk, whenever you bless, whenever you are generous, whenever you are humble, whenever you forgive, whenever you pray – you push Satan into a pit that he struggles to get out of. The bible says the earth is the Lord’s and everything in it - your job is to remind Satan of that every day of your life and take the ground from underneath him.

We are aware of the eternal repercussions
The bible tells us there’s a judgement.  We will all stand before Jesus to give an account of our lives.  And, we get a reward for everything we do which has lasting Kingdom value

One day we will be perfect – we get a perfect body.  Jesus doesn’t - the piercing he suffered for us never goes away - he keeps his scars.

We need to leave aware of the mission he has entrusted to us: to be the light of the world, a people whose lives consistently shine like stars in this generation and point the people we meet to the most luminous being of all - Jesus.
